My research has always been naturally related to a cinematographic character. After a long time searching far and wide, I found a precious treasure very close to me, The Tonada.
Nowadays it accompanies me wherever I go on my musical journeys, always experimenting new forms of expresions.
Tonada is a folk musical genre that consists of a set of melodies and songs within the lyric genre. It is characterised by the fact that it is not danced and has an emphasis on the texts. It originates from the regions of Asturias and Cantabria in northern Spain, where it has given rise to the genres of the Asturian tonada and the mountain tonada respectively. It has also taken root and developed in Latin American countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Venezuela.
