Same note 100 times is a summary of my piano work of the last 12 years. From modern classical to experimental soundscapes.

My research has always been naturally related to a cinematographic character. After a long time searching far and wide, I found a precious treasure very close to me, The Tonada.

Nowadays it accompanies me wherever I go on my musical journeys, always experimenting new forms of expresions.

Tonada is a style of traditional Chilean music, mainly related to singing, based on ternary rhythms. It is generally presented in a calm and melancholic state (Andante) and in its development it gradually acquires a more rhythmic quality. It started to be performed 200 years ago in the Chilean countryside, at parties and also in pagan contexts. In the old days it was sung by women because Chile was colonized, and in those times women were used, among other things, to entertain. On the other hand it was very embarrassing for a man to play a guitar and sing. Everything was very patriarchal. But everything is slowly changing and I am fulfilling the task of bringing this musical language to a free state of instrumental expression with the piano.
